Local player Brandon Dosch has become the Free Poker Network's National Champion, winning a $10,000 professional poker player contract which includes seats in multiple televised tournaments in 2012. Dosch plays regularly in the poker league at the Bowler in Fargo, ND where he qualified for the North Dakota state tournament in Bismarck and played his way into the top 10 at the state level to qualify for the exclusive national tournament held at The Mirage Poker Room on Saturday, December 3rd. 75 players from 20 different states attended and Dosch ended up on top, defeating Sean Heile from Nebraska headsup.

Besides a $1,000 cash bonus, Brandon also received a $1,080 seat in the Five Diamond Classic held at the Bellagio the following day. Dosch proved worthy of his national champ status, nearly winning Event #13 (4th place - $16,000).In the end, his pocket aces were cracked by eventual winner Ryan Williams who cashed $72,000.
