161 entrants participated in the 7th Annual Dead Money Open this past Sunday at the M & J Saloon in West Fargo.  They competed for their share of over $20,000, with the top prize slated to be $6,600.  When all was said and done, at just after midnight Todd Larson and Dan Ness had pocketed $2,600, with Tom Edmister, James Sweeney, Isaih Jones, and Travis Sanderson taking home $2,350.  Even with the chop at 6 spots (including a modified chop that paid 7th (Corey Eslinger) and 8th (Scott Eckert) $1,200 each, the play was over an hour long just at the final table.  And despite paying 19th and 18th $150 each to speed up bubble play, that couldn't help much either.  By the time play was down to 8 players, an average stack was now just 5 big blinds deep.
